Nasi Lemak
A simple and delicious meal
that tastes great and is easy
to make.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups white rice
- 3 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup water
- 2 inches ginger
- 1 lemongrass, cut into 2in lengths
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- 1 pandan leaf, knotted
- 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- Water for soaking rice
- Sambal (Optional)
Recipe
- Wash the rice.
- Begin boiling the eggs.
- Mix rice, coconut oil and water.
- Add the ginger, lemongrass, salt, shallot,
pandan leaf and garlic.
- Steam for 40 minutes.
- Remove everything except rice.
- Plate the rice, and add hard-boiled eggs.
- Add some sambal on the side.
- Serve and enjoy!
